Vacationing on Vancouver Island: Weekend Excurions.
A road trip up and across Vancouver Island over the May 24th weekend has given us the opportunity to bring you some wonderful shots BCs fantastic rain forests. There is only so much that you can see in 2 days so our journey took us to Englishman Falls and Cathedral Grove the first day and Little Qualicum Falls on the second day. The sleeping on the hard ground and the walking did take their toll on rookie hiker bodies but photographs were worth the effort. I hope you enjoy these shots and opening puzzle. This first puzzle of the trip is at Englishman Falls off Highway 4A on Vancouver Island. This painter has taken advantage of the day and the view she has to express her emotions of the moment on canvas.
This first puzzle could very well be the picture she was painting We won’t know for sure until the painting is released. We did not get close enough to see what the subject of her easel was holding. We hope that you enjoy these beautiful scenes through Englishman Falls.
Other series to follow will be Cathedral Grove and Little Qualicum Falls.
By the time we got back to the campsite we pretty much went to bed. We lucked out for most of the trip as far as rain was concerned, it only rained when we were at Little Qualicum Falls. We were protected by the trees so we really didn’t get too wet. If this is a trip that you would want to do it is very inexpensive other than gas and your campsite and food.
