Lights are just one of the many things to get a person in the mood for Christmas. Join us this year with this Christmas Truck Light Parade Video. Trucks from The Greater Victoria and surrounding area gather together providing a spectacular light display and raising money for the food bank. This video was taken in Victoria BC on December 5 2009. Kudos to the people involved in organizing and decorating. We look forward to many more parades. Donations can be made to any food bank.

It seems people are getting into the spirit of Christmas earlier this year. Most years it has not been until the first week of December before I would see lights appearing on houses.
Stores are reporting record highs in sales of outdoor Christmas lights. Is this the year of early lighting? Really folks this is a good thing. In todays economy something has to brighten our spirits. Why not start the celebrations early?
AM Fresh is also starting early with this Lighting The Way puzzle to get you in the mood. This Christmas enthusiast has prompted the energy flow to start. Rest assured a vast majority of the lights are energy efficient bulbs. It just goes to show you can have a nice display using LED lighting.
Before you start the puzzle though how about getting your lights up, take a photo and send it too lights@amfresh.ca Your display may appear in our up and coming Christmas Lights video. See our other two published Christmas Lights videos from 2008 and 2007 (you might want to turn your speakers down a bit). In the 2008 video the music was provided by a local group Relative Harmony.
Christmas videos produced by AM Fresh are for those people who do not have the ability to get around the see the displayed light shows that are available in their city. AM Fresh is also expanding this year so if you are not in Victoria BC, that is okay you can still participate sending to the same address above. Please state what city the photo is from. No other personal information is required.

Thousands of people will be shut in Victoria and surrounding area this year. Some due to medical reasons, others due to lack of transportation. They do not get the opportunity to get out to see all the decorations and lights at Christmas time. We at AM Fresh consider that a Christmas tragedy. In the spirit of tradition every person deserves that experience.
Since 2006, AM Fresh has put together an annual Christmas video for your viewing pleasure. We drive around the city of Victoria taking photographs of the wonderful job citizens do lighting up their Christmas neighborhood. In some areas whole blocks were lit up. With Christmas just around the corner once again, AM Fresh will be out taking shots of decorated houses. The purpose of this expedition is to bring a little lighting pleasure to everyone. Posting of Video will take place on or before Dec 22 2009.
AM Fresh will also be expanding the horizons a bit this year, welcoming anyone who has decorated their houses or apartment balcony to share your photo with us for this years video “Lights of The World”. We are hoping to get photos from all over the world. If you are interested in sending your light photo please submit to Lightslights@amfresh.ca. Recommended photo size around 1200 X 800 or there abouts. Don’t forget to drop a couple of dollars to your local food banks to help those families in need this Christmas. All photos need to be in by Dec. 15, 2009 to give me time to put together the video. Help bring the joy of the Christmas season to everyone in the world.

It's not a pirouette beind Her Majesty, but it's still cool. I also wonder what Conservative leader, since Joe Clark marshalled the Calgary Pride Parade, would make a summer campaign based on events like this. Even better, as Monty ably points out, why does Stephen Harper have no summer campaign at all? […]

Solar power is a wonderfully sustainable source of energy and its biggest hurdle to wide adoption is cost (and going up against subsidized fossil fuels).
