Search of the Heron

Sun Bathing HeronI often frequented Beacon Hill Park in Victoria to see the heron coming and going. My plan was to go this past weekend to Beacon Hill Park to take pictures of the Heron. It was of great dismay when hearing from my daughter, about the eviction of the Heron from the park by a rather bold bald eagle. This eagle figuring to take the park for himself decided, the best way to get rid of the Heron was to eat all of the eggs of the crane like creature. The Heron left Beacon Hill Park.

No worries, after a few hours of searching the beaches along the Victoria and Esquimalt coastline, we have found them. Several Heron we spotted at Esquimalt Lagoon.
